South Park: The Fractured but Whole

<p>Welcome to a new weekly round-up on what games are coming out this week&period; This Week in Games highlights those titles we&&num;8217&semi;re most excited for&comma; regardless of platform&period; This week&comma; we have a hell of a line-up for games that people have waited a while to finally play&period; From delays to just being franchises known for long waits&comma; there is something for everyone who didn&&num;8217&semi;t already pick up <em>The Evil Within 2 <&sol;em>or <em>Middle-earth&colon; Shadow of War <&sol;em>last week&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>To start things off&comma; the sequel to 2014&&num;8217&semi;s surprise hit adaptation&comma; <em>South Park&colon; The Stick of Truth<&sol;em>&comma; is finally being released this week&period; <em>South Park&colon; The Fractured But Whole <&sol;em>&lpar;that title never gets old&rpar; was originally slated to be released in December of 2016&comma; but <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;blog&period;ubi&period;com&sol;south-park-fractured-whole-update&sol;">was pushed to Q1 2017<&sol;a> and then pushed to <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;polygon&period;com&sol;2017&sol;2&sol;9&sol;14561368&sol;south-park-the-fractured-but-whole-delay-ubisoft">sometime before March 2018<&sol;a>&period; The game finally comes out on October 17th for PS4&comma; Xbox One and PC&period; Expect lots of controversy when the game comes out as it is already receiving traction due to its <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;ew&period;com&sol;gaming&sol;2017&sol;09&sol;08&sol;south-park-fractured-but-whole-difficulty-settings-skin-color&sol;">difficulty settings being based on player&&num;8217&semi;s race<&sol;a>&comma; and the first game was met with a lot of response due to some of the more insane quests you partook in&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The other huge release is <em>Gran Turismo Sport<&sol;em>&period; This is the first game in the long-running <em>Gran Turismo <&sol;em>franchise to grace the PlayStation 4 and will feature VR support that will be available in a special &&num;8220&semi;VR Tour mode&&num;8221&semi;&period; For fans of the series worried that <em>Sport <&sol;em>is just a spin-off from the main franchise&comma; Kazunori Yamauchi &lpar;creator of the series&rpar; has stated on record that he believes the game is <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;gtplanet&period;net&sol;gran-turismo-sport-could-have-been-called-gt7-sport&sol;">part of the primary numbered entries<&sol;a>&period; So while it may not actually be numbered&comma; <em>Sport <&sol;em>is intended to act as the next generation in the racing franchise and not as an outlier&period; <em>Gran Turismo Sport <&sol;em>launches on October 17th for PS4&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;130464" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-130464" style&equals;"width&colon; 1920px" class&equals;"wp-caption aligncenter"><img class&equals;"size-full wp-image-130464" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;10&sol;11133331&sol;Switch&lowbar;FireEmblemWarriorss&lowbar;E3-2017-SCRN&lowbar;035&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Fire Emblem Warriors" width&equals;"1920" height&equals;"1080" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-130464" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">&lpar;Fire Emblem Warriors&comma; Nintendo&rpar;<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>Nintendo Switch owners have been having a great time with their consoles by all accounts&comma; and this week sees the release of a beloved Nintendo franchise on the console&period; <em>Fire Emblem Warriors <&sol;em>is coming to both the Switch and the New Nintendo 3DS&comma; and is developed by Omega Force&comma; Team Ninja&comma; and Intelligent Systems&period; The game will follow more in line with the hack-and-slash combat of Omega Force&&num;8217&semi;s <em>Dynasty Warriors <&sol;em>franchise but with the added tactical commands of Intelligent Systems&&num;8217&semi; <em>Fire Emblem <&sol;em>series&period; Much like <em>Hyrule Warriors<&sol;em>&comma; this seems like the perfect game for those who want to play a different take on the well-established franchise and get lost in the world of <em>Fire Emblem<&sol;em>&period; Plus&comma; it has amiibo support for all current and future <em>Fire Emblem <&sol;em>amiibos&excl; It releases on October 20th&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Wrestling fans get the annual treatment of being able to smash their friends&&num;8217&semi; faces in with <em>WWE 2K18<&sol;em>&period; Seth Rollins graces this year&&num;8217&semi;s cover art&comma; and the game is set to be the first to be on a Nintendo platform under the WWE 2K banner&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s being developed by Yuke&&num;8217&semi;s and Visual Concepts&comma; and will feature revamped Royal Rumble mechanics&comma; a new Carry system&comma; as well as the largest roster the series has had at launch&period; While the WWE games have had a shaky history&comma; this one sounds very promising&period; <em>WWE 2K18 <&sol;em>will launch on October 17th for PS4&comma; Xbox One&comma; and PC&comma; with a Nintendo Switch version being released sometime this fall&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>There&&num;8217&semi;s a remaster of <em>Age of Empires <&sol;em>coming out too&quest; Even RTS fans get something this week&excl; <em>Age of Empires&colon; Definitive Edition <&sol;em>will look and sound better than it ever did before with updated graphics&comma; sound effects&comma; and music&period; It releases on October 19th for PC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;130465" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-130465" style&equals;"width&colon; 1920px" class&equals;"wp-caption aligncenter"><img class&equals;"size-full wp-image-130465" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;cdn&period;bagogames&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;10&sol;11133603&sol;The-Inner-World-The-Last-Wind-Monk&period;jpg" alt&equals;"The Inner World&colon; The Last Wind Monk" width&equals;"1920" height&equals;"1080" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-130465" class&equals;"wp-caption-text">&lpar;The Inner World&colon; The Last Wind Monk&comma; Headup Games&rpar;<&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>In terms of lesser known titles&comma; adventure game fans can play through <em>The Inner World&colon; The Last Wind Monk <&sol;em>on PS4&comma; Xbox One&comma; PC and Mac on October 20th&period; The sequel to 2013&&num;8217&semi;s <em>The Inner World<&sol;em> features the same quirky attitude and beautiful hand-drawn art style that made the point-and-click adventure a success&period; THQ Nordic will be releasing the sci-fi&sol;fantasy action-RPG <em>Elex <&sol;em>for PS4&comma; Xbox One&comma; and PC on October 17th&comma; developed by Piranha Bytes&period; Sci-fi and Fantasy are still such an interesting mix of genres&comma; so I&&num;8217&semi;m personally excited to see how the two meld in this&period; Then finally&comma; <em>Rogue Trooper Redux <&sol;em>will be hitting PS4&comma; Xbox One&comma; Nintendo Switch&comma; and PC on October 17th&period; In 2006&comma; the original <em>Rogue Trooper <&sol;em>was released based on a science fiction comic strip and now you can play an updated version of the same game with new gameplay mechanics&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>That&&num;8217&semi;s it for This Week in Games&comma;
