It’s the weekend, which means two things: 1) Both next-gen systems have launched (who got one, which system and why?) and 2) another exciting entry of the Weekly Wrap-Up is coming your way. Below, you’ll find brief summaries of our top 5 stories from this week, as well as a few stories that were interesting, but weren’t quite that big to make the cut. As always, if you want to read the full story, simply click on the link hidden in the titles. If you have suggestions for future entries, feel free to email me at jeremy.tyler@bagogames.com.
Here we go.

European Gamers: FREE Mario 3D Land For New 3DS Owners
In what seems like a push to make gamers more aware of Super Mario 3D World than anything else, Nintendo of Europe have revealed a brand new 3DS promotion for European gamers which includes a free digital copy of Super Mario 3D Land to those who grab a new 3DS console this Christmas.
To take part in the promotion you simply need to register a new 3DS or 3DS XL handheld (note that the 2DS is actually excluded from this promotion) and register it on Club Nintendo between November 27th and January 13th 2014.
You must also register one of fifteen games of which we have listed in the original story.

The Last Guardian Director Feels ‘Terribly Sorry’ for the Game’s Delay
The Last Guardian was announced some time ago, and outside of a trailer or two, we’ve seen nothing else from the game. Over the years it has been teased and hinted at, with hopes of details to come in the future, but as of the time of writing this, we still have nothing solid to go on. Many think the game is no longer a PS3 title and has made the jump to the PS4 but, as with everything else about the game, we simply don’t know.
The game’s director, Fumito Ueda, was recently interviewed by Edge magazine about his career and, of course, The Last Guardian. With the game nowhere near release and still in-development, this is what Ueda had to say:
“Putting aside the short-term output, more than anything I feel terribly sorry that for various reasons I have kept my audience waiting for such a long time.”

Sony Releasing PS4 and Vita Together as an ‘Ultimate Bundle’
For many, it was only a matter of time before Sony decided to bundle together that PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. Well, the time has come for the people to (politely) say, ‘Called it.’
According to MVCUK, the company will create an Ultimate Bundle that contains both the PS4 and PS Vita, will a release set for before Christmas. A £2.5m TV campaign is also planned for the Vita, which aims to highlight the PS Vita compatability with the PS4 and it’s upcoming title Tearaway.
“We’re really excited for Vita as we move into Christmas,” senior product manager Ben Law said to MVC. “We’ve got a great campaign with key messaging around new releases like Tearaway, the ever-growing game catalogue and the Remote Play service.”

Canadians Make The PS4 The Countries Biggest Gaming Launch In History
Although specific sales figures for Canada are yet to be released, Turvey has told GamesIndustry International that Sony’s newly released next-generation console, the PS4, has broken all sales records in the country and thus became the countries biggest gaming launch in history.
Speaking to GamesIndustry International Turvey said:
“The launch was a huge success by any standard of measurement. It was by far the largest launch in gaming history in Canada and we were really thrilled by the execution, but mostly the response by PlayStation fans and consumers.”
With the Xbox One due to launch this Friday, November 22nd in Canada however, will the PS4 retain its sales record in the country or will the Xbox One steal the crown after just a week of Sony placing it upon their new consoles head?

White Xbox One Raises $11,300 For The Wounded Warrior Project
You may remember our story a while back covering another auction of the famous white Xbox One, the console currently reserved to Microsoft’s staff and one other lucky UK owner who won a PAL version on eBay a few weeks ago. Well it has been sold and has raised a fine price indeed for a worthy charity.
The final sale price was $11,300, all of which will go straight to the Wounded Warrior Project charity, a lot more than what the UK/EU version was that was auctioned prior to this which totaled $7,958.
In addition to the white version of the Xbox One the winner also will receive a year of Xbox Live Gold and all of Microsoft’s first-party launch titles that include six titles: Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Project Spark and Crimson Dragon.
