2014 feels like it’s far away, but in reality, we only have three more months of 2013 left (where’d the time go?).

A Wii U Legend of Zelda was teased earlier this year, and with Wind Waker HD already out and A Link Between Worlds soon to come, you’d think Nintendo would keep the Zelda momentum going and reveal something about the Wii U Zelda soon. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem likely.

Speaking to Mashable at New York Comic-Con, series produced Eiji Aonuma spoke a lot about the aforementioned titles, but when asked about the in-development Wii U title, Aonuma gave a very short response, saying, “I’ll say more at E3 2014.”

Nintendo’s aim for this entry in the long running series is to do something different, to do something that doesn’t involve the series’ usual ‘conventions.’ I suppose there’s a small chance we’ll get something related to The Legend of Zelda on Wii U before next E3, but for anything concrete, looks like we’ll have to hold out until then.

Anywho, head over to the lengthy interview Mashable did with Aonuma if you can’t get enough of that Zelda.
