<p><a class="zem_slink" title="Eurogamer" href="http://www.eurogamer.net/" target="_blank" rel="homepage">Eurogamer</a> has found that the <a class="zem_slink" title="Wii U" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_U" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">Wii U</a> is more efficient and &#8216;greener&#8217; than rivals Xbox 360 and the <a class="zem_slink" title="PlayStation 3" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_3" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">PlayStation 3</a>.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s not over egg the pudding so to speak though, it would be expected that <a class="zem_slink" title="Nintendo" href="http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=34.9699694444,135.756202778&;spn=0.01,0.01&;q=34.9699694444,135.756202778 (Nintendo)&;t=h" target="_blank" rel="geolocation">Nintendo</a> would create a much greener console after six years of releasing their last console, <a class="zem_slink" title="Wii" href="http://wii.nintendo.com" target="_blank" rel="homepage">the Nintendo Wii</a>, although Eurogamer did find out some other interesting facts when carrying out their research.</p>
<p>When comparing the &#8220;power draw figures&#8221; when playing the same services/games from all three <a class="zem_slink" title="Video game console" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_game_console" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">consoles</a>, Eurogamer found that the Wii U required, in some cases, less than half the amount of power needed by the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. What is interesting to also note is that the Wii U has being compared to the SLIM version of the Xbox 360 and the SUPER SLIM version of the PlayStation 3. Both consoles of which have only recently entered the market.</p>
<p>The results of Eurogamers test found that when playing the <a class="zem_slink" title="FIFA (video game series)" href="http://www.ea.com/intl/football/fifa" target="_blank" rel="homepage">FIFA 13</a> Demo, the Wii U needed 32 w, <a class="zem_slink" title="Xbox 360" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">Xbox 360 Slim</a> needed 67 w and the PlayStation 3 Super Slim (what a mouth-full) needed 66w. Taking a look at apps, the <a class="zem_slink" title="Netflix" href="http://www.netflix.com/" target="_blank" rel="homepage">Netflix</a> HD app required 29w from the Wii U, 65w from the Xbox 360 Slim and 62.5w from the PlayStation 3 Super Slim.</p>
<p>Will this finally put an end to arguments about how powerful the Wii U is?</p>
