How much difference a few hours make eh? Earlier this morning we reported that the Wii Mini was rumored to be launching in the UK after many eagle-eyed Nintendo fans noticed a link appear for the console on the official Nintendo website. Since then, Nintendo has confirmed that the console is indeed coming to the UK.
The Wii Mini will be launching on March 22nd in the UK alongside new “Nintendo Select” titles which Nintendo has decided we all need. The titles in question you’ve probably played before but they are; Mario Party 8, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Power Tennis and Super Paper Mario.
It is important to keep in mind that the Wii Mini does not support Gamecube discs or accessories as well as not being able to connect to the internet, therefore preventing you from multiplayer races in Mario Kart Wii or even accessing the Wii Shop Channel.
If the launch is similar to that of Canada, the console will come bundled with a red Wii Remote Plus controller alongside a matching red Nunchuck controller.
