No Wii U release for Saints Row 4

<p>Publisher Deep Silver has confirmed that the upcoming <em>Saints Row 4<&sol;em> will not be released on the Wii U&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Recently unveiled in a trailer filled with the kind of over-the-top and absurd action the series has become known for&comma; <em>Saints Row 4<&sol;em> was announced as being intended for release on PC and current-gen platforms&comma; but now&comma; clarifying that statement&comma; a representative from Deep Silver has told Polygon that the game will not be appearing on Nintendo&&num;8217&semi;s Wii U console&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Saints Row 4<&sol;em> is the latest in a series of high-profile multiplatform games to not receive a Wii U release&comma; such as <em>Crysis 3<&sol;em> and <em>Dead Island&colon; Riptide<&sol;em>&comma; the latter also published by Deep Silver&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Saints Row 4<&sol;em> is developed by Volition and is scheduled for release in North America on 20th August and in the rest of the world on 23rd August&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&lbrack;Via&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;polygon&period;com&sol;2013&sol;3&sol;15&sol;4108432&sol;saints-row-4-is-not-coming-to-wii-u" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Polygon<&sol;a>&rsqb;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
