Nintendo’s latest home console, the ‘Wii U’ has been said to mark “the end of an era” of general console gaming by Nolan Bushnell, who many deem the ‘grandfather’ of video games as he created Pong.

When speaking to ‘The New York Times’ Nolan Bushnell shared his confusion with the industry as a whole by saying; “I don’t think it’s going to be a big success” and “It feels like the end of an era to me”.

This was all included in a feature which the newspaper was writing deeming console gaming slowly dying in favor of mobile/tablet gaming which many young people are now being brought up on.

What are your thoughts on this issue?
