Wii U Starts Off Well In Japan, Sells More Than 300,000 Units In Two Days

Figures from Japanese chart company, Media-Create have revealed that 307,471 Wii U units were sold in Japan after the new console went on sale last weekend. This means that the console has sold over 300,000 units in just two days.

It’s not all good news for Nintendo however as this is around 70,000 less units than the Nintendo Wii sold during the same period six years ago when it launched in the land of the rising sun.

The console also sold less than the PS2 (630,552 units), GBA, DS, Wii, 3DS and even the PlayStation Vita during its launch… is trouble brewing ahead?
