WiiU Presentation Shows Whats On Offer For U

So another day another Pre E3 reveal. Nintendo streamed a Video last night providing details on it’s new system the WiiU. So if you havent seen the presentation video for it let me run you through what they explained.

WiiU Controller The “GamePad”  Nintendo have named there new controller the Game Pad and also have redesigned the product. Before and after.

The Graphic’s:  The WiiU will have high Quality graphic’s. But didn’t specify if it’s HD ready.

TV Mode: He also mentions its Tv off and on mode. There will be games that can be played the GamePad but he does say that they will be casual games. So does this mean high spectrum games cant support this functionality?

Wii Remote And WiiU Pad Sync: So there was also a part in the presentation shown of a Wii Remote and a WiiU Pad synced together to play what look like Wii Sports golf. Perhaps this will be one of the games that will be included with the console.

Different Colors: The WiiU will also be available in black finish. No mention if it will support more colors yet but perhaps more info at E3 will be announced.

Alternative Controller: Titled WiiU Pro Controller just like the original Wii, there will be a controller that can be used. Cant say if every game will be compatible with this yet but it’s very unlikely.

The Community Of Mii’s: So the Wii had feature that allowed owner’s to create a little avatar that would represent them in there games. WiiU is going to have the same function and they have titled it MiiVerse. The MiiVerse will allow all WiiU owners to come together and display there game information with friends and other Mii’s that are playing similar games as them.

MiiVerse which is short for Mii Universe, will allow you to connect your WiiU and 3DS together and display messages, gameplay screenshots, picto chat’s and more. This is all done over there network that they have titled Nintendo Network.

WiiU Gamepad Is A “Social Window” Nintendo are calling the screen for there Gamepad a social window. The ability to connect with others and converse over there new integrated network.  They have even teased that you will also be able to connect to other devices and display your gaming feed to friends and family.

Super Mario Tease: There was also a glimpse of what looked to be a new and improved Super Mario game. It was a short gameplay that showed the character dying before they reached the flag pole near the end of the level. When it cut to black comments from other Mii’s appeared displaying difficulty with that part the player was at. This perhaps is not the friends of the player but more of the community of Mii’s that will be connected together over the Nintendo Network.

Satoru Iwata Wrap’s Up: Satoru finishes up his presentation with a quote from Shigeru Miyamoto “A great idea solves multiple problems at the same time” According to Satoru this describes the WiiU GamePad. WiiU is meant to describe “together better.” and they believe the WiiU will solve many problems through its GamePad. Even if you are alone in your room the MiiVerse will not let you feel alone. You will always be connected to someone you know or someone you will begin to know. “Creation Of Something Unique” This is what was displayed on the wall behind Satoru for the whole Presentation.

The Verdict:  So to sum up my opinions on the pre E3 presentation, I can say i am more interested in finding out more of the WiiU’s functionalities. We all know it can play Mario games but will it have the power to run a game such as Crysis which was created on the CryEngine and is known for its great display of visual’s and textures. I think Nintendo need to jump on the band wagon and push the platform to limits and not just worry on cost and profit. The game’s sell the system,  so provide the hardware and they will come.

What do you think Viewers? Did you enjoy this 30 minute presentation last night? Or are you now looking forward to the rest of the E3 presentations. Let us know in the comment section below. Also Why not watch the presentation Below.
