The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition Coming August 30th

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - GAME OF THE YEAR Edition announcement

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a massive RPG and took the gaming world by storm when it was released last year. After receiving over 250 Game of the Year awards, it is only fitting that there be a GOTY edition released. So on August 30th, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition will be released. It will include the entire base game, as well as the expansions Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The GOTY edition will be available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Above is a trailer that just reminds me how good the game was. Wild Hunt  has players searching for a child from prophecy, with over 150 hours of gameplay. Already a daunting amount of time to put in the game (I never did finish it because there was so much to do), if you do manage to finish the main story and sidequests, there are two expansions that are included with the GOTY edition. For starters, there is Hearts of Stone which sees Geralt of Rivia facing off against a ruthless bandit captain. Then there is Blood and Wine which takes Geralt to Toussaint, a region with a terrifying secret.

As I said, I never did finish the game, and I’m sure there are quite a few people that just never had the time to start it. For those people, or if you just want all the DLC for The Witcher 3 in one neat package, this is probably a pretty good choice.
