Witchfire Announced from Developers of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

<p>Perhaps the best way to sell me on a game is to include the phrase &&num;8220&semi;From the creators of <em>The Vanishing of Ethan Carter<&sol;em>&&num;8230&semi;but also <em>Painkiller <&sol;em>and <em>Bulletstorm<&sol;em>&period;&&num;8221&semi; Announced at The Game Awards last night&comma; <em>Witchfire <&sol;em>already has me sold with its teaser trailer that you can watch below&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><iframe width&equals;"560" height&equals;"315" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;embed&sol;-zqjNkdXT94" frameborder&equals;"0" gesture&equals;"media" allow&equals;"encrypted-media" allowfullscreen><&sol;iframe><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>At first&comma; the trailer feels reminiscent of <em>The Vanishing of Ethan Carter<&sol;em> as you explore a desolate&comma; run-down area&period; There&&num;8217&semi;s a moment in between the reveals of who is working on the game where the main character pulls out a shotgun&comma; the music changes&comma; and you realize this will not just be a game focused on exploration&period; The only description for the game right now is that it will be a &&num;8220&semi;<em>dark fantasy first person shooter<&sol;em>&&num;8220&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Astronauts&&num;8217&semi; three co-owners were also co-owners of People Can Fly and creative leads on <em>Painkiller <&sol;em>and <em>Bulletstorm<&sol;em>&period; So there&&num;8217&semi;s really no surprise that The Astronauts were bound to make a shooter&period; However&comma; the game does have a very gothic-vibe that feels really cool and I love the character designs&comma; as well&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>There isn&&num;8217&semi;t much more news about the game because it isn&&num;8217&semi;t close to release at all&period; The only confirmed platforms is PC and Steam&comma; and the game is running on Unreal Engine 4&period; <em>Witchfire<&sol;em> uses the same photogrammetry tech that the team used for <em>The Vanishing of Ethan Carter <&sol;em>which allows for realistic visuals as they scan in real-life objects&period; Hence why the game looks great&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Needless to say&comma; I&&num;8217&semi;m excited for <em>Witchfire<&sol;em>&comma; but let us know in the comments below what you thought of the reveal&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;theastronauts&period;com&sol;2017&sol;12&sol;new-game-witchfire&sol;">The Astronauts Blog<&sol;a><&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
