FUNimation is releasing the complete series of Wolf’s Rain in a Blu-ray and DVD set.
This set includes 4 Blu-ray discs and 5 DVDs that have all 26 episodes of the series, plus the 4 OVAs (Original Video Animation). Both cast and crew interviews along with promo trailers, and textless opening & closing songs are on these discs. The Japanese and English audio is available to choose in the menus and the only subtitle option given is English.
The story of Wolf’s Rain begins with the legend of Paradise which is considered a hopeless dream in the anime’s setting that is now a barren wasteland. Wolves were once believed to be extinct, so much so that it is a surprise that there are some wolves who roam the world and are meant for the Paradise. The myth states that the path to the final end of Paradise will only open after the Flower Maiden wakes up. The wolves left in the world form a pack and are traveling the lands running into danger while they look for the way to Paradise.
Wolf’s Rain: The Complete Series set is currently listed on FUNimation’s store for $48.74 with the regular retail price listed as $64.98. Pre-orders are open right now and the set is releasing on February 7, 2017.
