World of Warcraft’s Warlords of Draenor Expansion Now Included in Base Game

World of Warcraft - Warlords of Draenor

Well, looks like World of Warcraft went and increased its value proposition just in time for its next expansion to arrive at the end of August. The previous expansion pack, Warlords of Draenor, is now included in the base game of World of Warcraft. That means players who subscribe to World of Warcraft will now get five expansion packs included in their purchase, with the only one requiring money being Legion, which is not available yet.

As noticed by a Reddit user and then confirmed by Blizzard Customer Support, Warlords of Draenor has been pulled from retailers’ shelves, including Battle.net. If you have a redemption code for Warlords of Draenor that was purchased physically, you should reach out to Blizzard via their customer support. Purchasing the starter edition of World of Warcraft will provide all players who do so with a level 90 boost so they can partake in Warlords of Draenor‘s content. The level cap was raised to 100 when the expansion released.

World of Warcraft still has one of the healthiest communities for an MMORPG today, but it reported its lowest subscriber base back in November 2015 and announced it would not be reporting subscriber numbers again. The game is set to see Legion, its sixth expansion pack, be released on August 30th.
