Wrath: Aeon Of Ruin – New Content Update And More

Wrath: Aeon Of Ruin gets its second major content update and a Founders Edition physical big box

Wrath Aeon of Ruin

Wrath: Aeon Of Ruin is another upcoming FPS from 3D Realms. Developed by KillPixel, the game utilizes the legendary Quake 1 engine. And judging by what we’ve seen so far by the early access demo, it pushes the Quake engine further than you could imagine. For using tech from 1996, the game is insanely impressive looking.

The game entered early access last year and already saw its first major content update. And sticking to the roadmap, the second update just launched.

The new update adds a bunch of new stuff to the game. Here’s a list of some of the stuff added in the new update:

You can find a complete list of bug fixes and other changes in the official changelog.

Physical Big Box Release

Like with 3D Realms’ previous game Ion Fury, Wrath is getting a proper big box release. The big box can already be preordered at the game’s official website. Only 500 copies are made, so you better hurry if you wish to secure a copy of this collectible edition for yourself.

The Founders Edition Big Box contains the following items:

A regular big box edition will be released later. Though if you wish to secure the exclusive stuff in the Founders Edition, you better act fast. As of writing, only around 150 copies are left for grabs.

Final Release Date

In addition to the content update and the Founders Edition, 3D Realms announced the game’s final release date. The full game will be released on 25th of February 2021. So likely that’s when the Founders Edition Big Box will be shipped out.

If you don’t wanna wait that long, you can check out the game’s early access version on Steam and GOG. This version already features several levels and offers quite a hefty amount of play time. And we highly recommend checking it out if you want an idea what Wrath is like.
