Starting last Monday, Microsoft announced the “Xbox Entertainment Awards” which aimed to identify the very best games, films, TV shows and other media available through the Xbox Live Marketplace.

With prizes such as a limited edition Xbox 360 and tickets to Gamescom 2013 on offer it wasn’t a surprise that many gamers took part in the promotion, which was due to run until the 26th March. It has however been taken down as of now due to a big security breach.

Originally reported by MCV, the service was hit by a security breach which exposed the personal details of an ‘alleged’ 2892 participants in the promotion.

The website has currently been taken down whilst Microsoft investigates it.
