Microsoft have announced that this weekend, Xbox Live Gold access will be given to a number of countries (see below) but surprisingly, Europe isn’t one that features in the list.

Countries receiving free Gold access are; Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, New Zealan, Singapore, Taian and finally, the United States.

Why isn’t Europe included? Major Nelson replied to disappointed fans by pointing out that the UK had a recent Xbox Live Gold access weekend and that regions are unlocked on a varied basis.
