<p>Action strategy title <em>XCOM: Enemy Unknown</em> will be released on the Mac this spring in the form of an Elite Edition containing extra content.</p>
<p>A reimagining of 1994&#8217;s <em>X-COM: UFO Defense</em> (a.k.a. <em>UFO: Enemy Unknown</em>), developer Firaxis Games&#8217; <em>XCOM: Enemy Unknown</em> was released on consoles and PC in 2012 to widespread critical acclaim, receiving praise for its blend of story, action and strategy.</p>
<p>The release of <em>XCOM: Enemy Unknown</em> on the Mac will be in the form of an Elite Edition containing all previously released updates and DLC. According to a press release, the Elite Edition will include &#8220;Slingshot and Elite Soldier Pack add-on content, as well as the Second Wave update, which includes a series of gameplay modifiers that add further depth and flexibility to the campaign.&#8221;</p>
<p><em>XCOM: Enemy Unknown</em> will be published on the Mac by London-based Feral Interactive. Further details regarding the release will apparently be revealed &#8220;closer to the release date.&#8221;</p>
