Xenoblade Chronicles fans can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. Why? Because the Definitive Edition of the game has finally had its release date announced during today’s Direct Mini. It will be released on May 29. On the same day, Nintendo will also release the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Works Set. Get your Switch ready, because the power of the Monado will be unveiled once again.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition Release Date Confirmed

So, the Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles will be released on May 29. If you’re new, the game will let you take on the role of Shulk as he fights against a mechanical threat. Along the way, he’s joined by other characters like Reyn, Dunban, and Riki as they explore the Bionis.

Shulk can tap into the full power of a mysterious blade known as the Monado. With it, he’s able to fend off the mechanical beings known as Mechon as they invade his homeland. With the Monado in hand, Shulk sets out in a journey to defeat the Mechon once and for all.

In addition to the Mechon, you’ll run into the wildlife that ranges from docile to deadly. Keep an eye on what attracts monsters’ attention to avoid unwanted conflict…or try your hand at bringing down an ultra-powerful Unique Monster.

The Definitive Works Set

The HD remaster of the game will also bring a new collectible for fans. The Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Works set will feature a 250-page artbook full of landscapes, monsters, and more. Not only that, but the Definitive Edition will also bring a new epilogue story known as “Future Connected”. The epilogue will expand on the story a bit more and bring “one more adventure with Shulk”.

Of course, the Definitive Edition will also bring a completely new HUD and re-recorded music. So, you’ll be able to hear new versions of the game’s epic soundtrack. Do you want to see the trailer that came with the game? Check it out below:
