<p>It was announced earlier today that publishers &#8216;<em><a class="zem_slink" title="Xseed Games" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xseed_Games" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">XSEED</a> JKS Inc.&#8217;</em> have acquired &#8216;<em>ATLUS Online&#8217;</em> to form a U.S publishing division of the Japanese publisher &#8216;<em>MarvelousAQL Inc.</em>&#8216; This acquisition has led the two companies to unify under the name of &#8216;<em>Marvelous USA, Inc</em>.&#8217; with immediate effect. Due to the sudden expansion of the business new offices will be opened to focus on mobile and <a class="zem_slink" title="Social network game" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_network_game" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">online social games</a>. As it stands, their console and handheld video games will still carry the &#8220;<em>XSEED</em>&#8221; brand name.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re currently an <em>ATLUS Online</em> user then you need not worry about these changes as your old ATLUS ID (and your associated in-game characters) will be automatically transferred into a matching Marvelous ID. All you need to do is log in and play as normal.</p>
<p>President and CEO of Marvelous, Shinichi Suzuki has stated that this rebranding is an opportunity to &#8220;explore new possibilities through diligence and open communication&#8221; and that the merging &#8220;unifies our US operations under the global Marvelous brand while giving our customers topnotch products and support for both traditional and online social and <a class="zem_slink" title="Mobile game" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_game" target="_blank" rel="wikipedia">mobile games</a>,&#8221;.</p>
