Today at Comic-Con @ Home, SEGA has unveiled its newest Yakuza game, titled Yakuza: Like A Dragon. The upcoming title has also gotten various bits of information, including release date information, what platforms it will release on, and pre-order info. Before we get into any of that, though, one bigger piece has been shown. The trailer released today showcases the game’s protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, and his party in the series’ traditional RPG gameplay. You can watch the brand-new “Heroes of Tomorrow” trailer, seen below.

Release Information and Pre-Orders

The ambitious next game will be releasing on current and next-gen platforms, along with PC. However, the game will be hitting Xbox platforms first, due to SEGA previously announcing their support for Xbox Series X’s Smart Delivery system. For those unaware, this new system ensures players only have to buy the game once.

In doing so, they’ll be able to play on either Xbox One or Series X when both the Series X console and its respective version are available. Yakuza: Like a Dragon will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam this coming November. For next-gen consoles, the game releases the same day Xbox Series X hits store shelves, and later for PlayStation 5.

The Day Ichi Steelbook edition was also announced as well. This special edition of the game comes with a limited-edition steelbook, as well as a code for eight legacy costumes for Ichiban, reflecting characters such as Kazuma Kiryu and Daigo Dojima. There exists a digital version of the Day Ichi edition, minus the Steelbook, of course.

For $10 more, players can buy the Hero Edition, which gives them two new Jobs to choose from for their playable characters. And finally, the Legendary Hero Edition, at $89.99, has the Day Ichi preorder bonus, the Job set from the Hero Edition, and a bunch of in-game collectibles included in its bundle.

English Voiceover Talents

Another one of the pieces of information given today was some of the voiceover talents in the English version of the game. Legendary actor George Takei, best known for his roles as Hikaru Sulu (Star Trek), Yamato-san (The Terror), Kaito Nakamura (Heroes), among others, takes the role of Masumi Arakawa.

Masumi Arakawa is a powerful patriarch whose dissolution of the Tojo Clan’s yakuza empire sets into motion the conflict at the heart of protagonist Ichiban Kasuga’s story. Ichiban joins forces with a colorful crew from different walks of life to uncover the truth behind his former patriarch’s capitulation to a rival yakuza organization, the Omi Alliance of Kansai. Other English voice talents include:

Kaiji Tang as Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist of the story returning from 18 years spent in prison

George Takei as Masumi Arakawa, patriarch of the Arakawa Family

Andrew Morgado as Koichi Adachi, an ex-cop on the search for truth

Greg Chun as Yu Nanba, downtrodden former nurse making amends with the world
