Recently, Rockstar confirmed that players were only weeks away from modding the streets of Los Santos. Unfortunately, Rockstar’s confirmed once more that Grand Theft Auto V‘s rumored delay on PC and now former January release was right on the money – or Steam credit, in this case.
The company took to its site’s front page to formally announce that Grand Theft Auto V‘s PC version will, in fact, be delayed until Mar. 24th. The game will nonetheless boast 1080p graphics and run at 6o framers-per-second with option to up the game to 4K graphics resolution as well as its current-gen peers‘ additional content, such as the new first-person mode.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” Rockstar said. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans.”
Rockstar went on to thanks its fans for their patience and support, promising that these next few weeks will be made worthwhile upon the game’s pending release.
In the meantime, the company provided a variety of select screenshots from the PC version, which you can view in the gallery below:
