Steam users that also have a Twitch account can now link the two services together, the Twitch Blog has announced. In order to do so, you’ll need to head to the ‘Connections‘ page found in the settings of your Twitch account.

“We realize that people have different reasons why they prefer to watch in game or via streams and wanted to bridge the gap of features they were missing out on by choosing the service that works for them the most,” reads the DOTA 2 Blog.

By linking the two accounts together, DOTA 2 players can receive item drops while they watch DOTA 2 tournament streams on Twitch, provided they have the ticket for that particular tournament.

“We hope to expand on the features available via this system and would love to hear what you think we should work on next.”
