Yumeutsutsu Re:Master and Re:After have received release dates and price listings, from publisher Degica Games and developer Kogado Studio. The two games will release for $64.99 and $49.99 respectively. While the first title is currently available on Steam already, it only has Japanese text in all of its content and gameplay.
The developers plan to update the game on April 23rd, adding language support for English and Chinese text. As for Yumeutsutsu Re:After, the Steam page is currently not available.
Also worth noting is that while PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions are planned for release, they have been delayed. The PlayStation releases now have an “unspecified future date” as its release due to complications from COVID-19 arising.
A Series Overview
Yumeutsutsu Re:Master takes place in the town of Koenji, not far from the imperial capital of Tokyo. The story follows Ai Otori as she joins the game company her sister works at, slowly opening up to her coworkers. Ai’s world slowly begins to expand as the game progresses, allowing the player to see the character’s growth and development.
The second title, Yumeutsutsu Re:After, is a collection of five alternate stories. These stories serve as continuations to the possible endings of the prior title. Each of the stories references a different ending. It’s currently unknown if the game will allow the player to choose any of the stories. It could be that the experience is based on which ending they got in the prior title.
Yumeutsutsu Re:Master is currently out on PC via Steam. However, the game doesn’t have English settings currently, as mentioned previously. The Switch versions currently have no pre-order information. Both games do have Nintendo.com pages, here (for Re:Master), and here (for Re:After).
