Milkstone Games’ Ziggurat wears its influences on its robe-sleeve: a fast-and-frantic fantasy FPS that’s equal parts Heretic and Serious Sam. Its Dungeons & Dragons meets DOOM mentality has already been invoked on Steam, but it will be working its magic on Xbox One on March 20th.
The launch trailer makes the game look like a hoot, with dozens of enemies (are those carrots?) falling to the various mystical armaments your warrior keeps under his cloak. It’s especially interesting that the game is rated E10+, as that’s almost completely unexpected from the gore-soaked FPS genre.
Better still, the game is procedurally generated, so there’ll be plenty of potential replay value in Ziggurat. Guess we’ll have to see in a week or so!
