In the midst of its young age and dismal sales record, Nintendo’s Wii U console does have at least something going for it in terms of half decent video games. Zombie U being one of these. In fact the title was deemed so good that Nintendo themselves created a separate ‘Zombie U Bundle’ of the console when it launched late last year. It seems that, we may be getting a sequel…
This news comes after the creative director, Jean-Philippe Caro, at Ubisoft replied to the tweet from a fan of the original Zombie U title. The conversation of which went a little like this:
Reshane Francis @KingreX32: “@Bignozjip Im sure you guys have gotten this question alot but if I could just ask, Can we expect a ZombiU sequel”
Jean-Philippe Caro @Bignozjip: “@KingreX32 thank you for your interest in zombiu. The team is working hard on a prototype. it’s too soon to tell you more.”
So although we didn’t receive a definite ‘yes’ or solid ‘no’, it seems that Ubisoft is experimenting and using its resources to decide whether a sequel, or a game similar to, Zombie U would be appropriate and feasible for the company.
