Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition has arrived at game stores across the United Kingdom today. It is now available physically for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita for £24.99 or $35.39. The Nintendo Wii U version will be available soon.
Axiom Verge is a Metroidvania-like game that takes place on the alien world of Sudra. You place as Trace while working to uncover the secrets of the world you’re unsure of how you got to.
The game was developed entirely by Thomas Happ over the course of five years and currently sits at an average score of 83.7 on Metacritic. Bago Games gave the game a 9/10 back in 2015 when we originally reviewed Axiom Verge, praising it for its dedication to the Metroidvania genre, the powerups available to Trace, the awesome environments and the unique and interesting enemies found throughout the game.
The Multiverse Edition includes a physical copy of the game, a 32-page art book, a double-sided poster and an exclusive making-of documentary on Blu-Ray. The Nintendo Switch version also comes with an audio CD featuring the game’s original soundtrack.
For those not interested in the Multiverse Edition, PS4 and Nintendo Switch users can also pick up a standalone physical copy of the game.
