Broken Age‘s last act is almost upon us and hopefully as nutty as it began.

Developer Double Fine’s announced that its $3.45 million point-and-click adventure game’s second and final act will be out for Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita April 28th along with the full game.

Broken Age‘s about a boy named Shay and a girl named Vella, separated by time but not by their sheltered lives. Shay lives in space, mothered by a familial computer with a smile like the sun’s (literally), while Vella lives in a seaside village and is selected to be sacrificed to a local monster. Both want out, to say the least, and their respective adventures brings them closer together than they imagined.

Beginning through Kickstarter over a year ago, Broken Age surprised almost every stretch goal it put in place and its creators decided to split it into two acts sometime late in development.

For those of you interested, the company’s compiled a complete “making of” documentary chronicling just how they came this far with such a crazy idea.
