Condemned 3 Development Could Be Outsourced to an Indie Studio

<p>How would a Condemned 3 game sound to all you horror fans out there&quest; I&&num;8217&semi;d hope you would say &&num;8220&semi;HELL YEAHHH&&num;8221&semi;&period; Enough of all that&comma; would the game be published with it&&num;8217&semi;s old team&comma; or be outsourced to a new set of capable hands to adventure within the world of the psychological horror genre&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The following idea was put forth by the co-creator of the series&comma; Jace Hall via Facebook on Feb 1&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h3><em>&&num;8220&semi;Deep thought&period;&period;and question&&num;8230&semi;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<h3><em>I helped to create a video game console franchise called &&num;8220&semi;Condemned&period;&&num;8221&semi; I currently own the entire franchise&period;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<h3><em>There have been 2 game titles released for the franchise&comma; &&num;8220&semi;Condemned&colon; Criminal Origins&&num;8221&semi; and &&num;8220&semi;Condemned&colon; Bloodshot&&num;8221&semi; &&num;8211&semi; they both did well&comma; and I am consistently asked when a third game might be created&period;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<h3><em>Since I am focused on other things&comma; and will be for quite some time&comma; this franchise is just sitting there&period;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<h3><em>I am contemplating finding an interested and proven Indie development team AND PROVIDING IT TO THEM&comma; so that they can take over the franchise and move it forward&period;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<h3><em>As an indie&comma; it can be very hard to get marketing&sol;media attention for a title that you work on&period; This franchise is already quite known&comma; has market demand&comma; and is in an innovative genre&sol;category&period;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<h3><em>Should I explore this idea further&quest; What say you all&quest;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;em><&sol;h3>&NewLine;<p>The horror demon inside me says YES BRING IT ON BABY&comma; but then I stop to think&colon; well how would it change from the previous games&quest; Would it be multiplatorm now&quest; What direction will the indie or new studio take on the franchise&comma; and will Jace still have control over the development of the title&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>All these questions need to be answered before I would accept the development of a new Condemned game&comma; only because I have not yet played Condemned at all&comma; but I know that it was quite a well received horror game for it&&num;8217&semi;s time&period; How would this style of combat horror be changed or altered for the better with next gen consoles and PC in mind&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>I want to leave you with one more question&colon; Will a new developer&&num;8217&semi;s style of making games rub off well on the franchise&comma; or would it hinder it in some way&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Source&colon; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;facebook&period;com&sol;JaceHallShow&sol;posts&sol;10152999663109303" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">Jace Hall via Facebook<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
