Damsel is an Australian made Arcade Platformer by indie studio “Screwtape Studios”.
I don’t know about you, but there’s always a place in my heart for an arcade platformer with a funky yet beautiful art style. Damsel is no exception to this. Besides that, the dark cartoony aesthetic makes for a fun experience.
The developer, at the point of recording this interview (2017), had implemented a “Campaign Mode” which acts as a more casual approach with almost unlimited retries whereas the “Arcade Mode” there will only be three strikes and it’s game over.
The game is currently available as “Early Access” on Steam for $9.99 USD. It currently holds a positive user rating with thirteen user reviews. Check it out here.
