After receiving high praise as one of the best Indie Games on show at EGX Rezzed, the developers behind the game – Exbleative, a small team from Adelaide, Australia – have announced that Exo One‘s Kickstarter campaign is launching today.
As of current, the developers have set an initial starting goal of only $35,000 AUD. Jay Weston – the mostly sole developer of the game – intends to use these funds to complete the core game, which includes 10 more planets, a similar number of music tracks, story refinement, concept art and voice over narration. The team has also given an estimated fulfillment date of January 2018.
The Kickstarter currently features eight different levels of pledges that range from $1.00 to all the way up to $500 where the backer can work alongside the team to name one of the planets featured within the game. While stretch goals have yet to be revealed, Mr. Weston has stated that should the project reach at least twice the initial goal he may consider hiring an additional team member to help complete the game.

Exo One is a space exploration game in which the player pilots an alien craft capable of manipulating the laws of gravity. The player will be able to use the combination of gravity manipulation with the mechanics of rolling and gliding to build momentum to traverse across a wide array of exoplanets.
