Film Fallout Podcast #25 – Suicide Squad and a Giveaway

Suicide Squad

Christopher Cross and Dylan Schwan have willingly entered the warzone between critics and audiences. The same situation happened with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but we ended up feeling that movie was definitely not good. Has the same outcome happened again? Tune in and hear conversations about the critical reception, what it means to be a David Ayer film, how Warner Bros attempted to make Suicide Squad a different film, and if Jared Leto’s Joker was worth all the behind-the-scenes drama.

We also talk about some news and blu-ray releases (find Dylan’s recap here), but more importantly, Dylan went to Guillermo del Toro’s horror exhibit at LACMA in Los Angeles. He lets us know how magnificent the glimpse into del Toro’s world was. Meanwhile, Chris talks about the third season of Bojack Horseman and explains how the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman could be the worst version of the film.

Speaking of which, we have another giveaway. Last week, we successfully gave away digital copies of The Bourne Classified Collection, and this week we’re giving away a digital copy (UltraViolet) of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (not the Ultimate Edition). So if you’ve been holding out on watching the film, maybe now’s the time? All you have to do is answer the following question:

Question: What is the next film in the DC Extended Universe?

Email your answer to christopher.cross@bagogames.com before August 15th, Noon (12 PM) EST. And join us next week when we review Sausage Party.
