Final Fantasy VII Remake is a game that’s been covered previously here at BagoGames, with our Demo’s First Impressions. The game is also out today digitally, so players can now experience the first part of the iconic adventure. Today, a new trailer was released as well, with a message from producer Yoshinori Kitase.

In the trailer, Kitase delivers a “launch message” to fans. The launch message basically explains the team’s intentions for the project, and what people can expect. Not a very significant trailer, aside from a small detail that can be missed upon first viewing.

You can watch that trailer below.

<amp-youtube layout="responsive" width="500" height="281" data-videoid="g4VFseLkG7U" title="Final Fantasy VII Remake | Launch Message for Fan | PS4"></amp-youtube>

FFVII PC Version Speculation

In the trailer, right near the beginning, a caption towards the bottom of the frame (image below) that reads “Gameplay captured on PC.” The caption gives the implication that a PC version of Final Fantasy VII Remake does indeed exist. One detail is left rather unclear about the whole scenario.

That detail is about whether the PC footnote implies that this is a development build, or if it’s a version intended for PC releases. If the latter is true, that could be a sign that Cloud and co. will be coming to PC. Note that if a PC version does come to fruition, it’d likely be after the PlayStation exclusivity ends.

Though, it could also be true of another possibility. That possibility is that Square Enix is merely giving a notice that the PC version shown is not representative of the PS4 version’s quality. But beyond all of that, a PC version seems to exist, even if it’s only a development build. It may also possibly allude to a PC port of Final Fantasy VII Remake, joining all of the other main series titles on Steam (excluding FF1 and 2).

Final Fantasy VII Remake is out now on PlayStation 4. You can purchase it digitally here.
