Wombat Source is bringing GetClose: A Game for RIVALS to the Nintendo eShop in late October 2014. Their website describes the lore:
“A war lording space king must name an heir to rule his galactic empire. 10 children must now compete to win their father’s affection. They are sent to Earth to engage in a fast paced battle of athletic endurance. 2 children enter, one leaves – victorious – the other casted into the banal corners of the galaxy”.
In GetClose, each player must hold one side of either the GamePad or Pro Controller to battle it out. There are different modes such as King of the Crown which is a fight to see who can hold onto the crown the longest. Another one is the Capture the Crown mode, this time you have to grab the crown and bring it back to your base.
