Konami to Release Castlevania Soundtrack Collection This Winter

The soundtracks of the iconic series now in one complete collection.

Castlevania has had several hallmarks throughout its lifetime, such as defining a genre with titles like Symphony of the Night, or by having excellent music. Only last weekend, Konami released Castlevania Advance Collection on current-gen consoles, which collects Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Shadow, Dawn of Shadow, and Dracula X, all with enhanced features. The series’ music is what we’re here to discuss today.

Well, Konami, earlier today, revealed plans to release a brand-new collection for the series. A massive 13-CD collection will be available to buy for soundtrack collectors, and it’ll be releasing this December. This collection is entitled The Castlevania Soundtrack Collection, and below, you can learn more about it, and what it contains.

The Sound of The Iconic Sidescrollers

The Castlevania Soundtrack Collection contains soundtracks from every single game, starting with the first game and going to the most recent releases. Pre-orders are available now on Konami Japan’s online store and come with additional goodies.

Pre-ordering secures you a fourteenth CD, that contains MIDI arrangements of songs from Castlevania: Dracula X (or Rondo of Blood, depending on your region). To further commemorate the release of this collection, Konami released four official graphic t-shirt designs on Amazon Japan. These items currently aren’t available for international preorders at the moment.

The Castlevania Soundtrack Collection is available for pre-order on Konami’s Japan storefront. The collection will be releasing in full later this year, and international preorders will probably come out soon, as well.

What did you think about the Castlevania Soundtrack Collection being announced? Are you excited to add these songs to your collection? Are you planning to pre-order it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
