Metal Gear Solid V Gets Its Revenge in Newest Trailer

Konami and Hideo Kojima have yet to settle their grudge-match, but in the meantime, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain promises that it’ll have its revenge this September. Mere weeks away from release, the open-world, stealth-action game has plenty more to show us still, namely another glitzy story trailer.

In it, we’re told that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes‘ elusive creep, Skull Face, may have a nuclear bomb on hand for some nefarious purpose, no doubt to troll the world like Big Boss wouldn’t troll it. Probably.

The bloodstained trailer hits the familiar beats we’ve seen in previous footage – the blood, the bullets, the buxom snipers. One thing’s clear: Big Boss is pulling the trigger on someone, a lot of someones, even.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain‘s slated for a same-day release as Avalance Studios’ Mad Max this Sep. 1st for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with all three versions available day one.

Its online multiplayer is planned for later this October with a PC version coming sometime in January of next year.
