The Amsterdam based indie game developer group, WeirdBeard, is creating a special kind of game for the PS4.
Tricky Towers is a physics-based tower builder with a taste of magic. The player will be able to cast spells on their own structures to reinforce their creation or use a spell to mess with their opponent’s tower. Several different modes will be playable once the game is released, but WeirdBeard has only revealed two of them: Race Mode and Survivor Mode. One of the developers explains the modes on the PlayStation Blog:
“In race mode you must build a tower tall enough to reach the finish line before your opponents do. But don’t stop and celebrate too soon — your tower has to remain upright for three seconds before you’ll be crowned as the winner!
Survivor mode is all about building a safe, stable tower. Each time you drop tetrominoes your character will lose a life. Lose all your lives and you’re out! Survivor mode is a tricky balance of building to protect your own tower while trying to cast spells that will tumble the towers of your opponents. There are also rumors of the survival world being a tad haunted…”
Tricky Towers will have multiplayer as an option along with a singleplayer campaign. No release date has been given so far, but stay tuned to BagoGames for updated info regarding Tricky Towers.
