Just a day ahead of their official E3 Direct this Tuesday, Nintendo’s announced that Wii U owners can download demos for nine different “Nindie” games as part of its “Nindies@Home” program over the course of this week’s E3.

From now through 9:59 am PT on June 22nd, downloading and playing the demos will land you a 15% discount on the full game in question for up to a month after they hit the eShop for a full download.

Speaking with Business Wire, Nintendo’s senior marketing manager of publisher and developer relations, Damon Baker, said the company wants to give gamers a little piece of the E3 indie scene, “along with the chance to try some amazing games,” before launch.

The games and developers participating in the program include:

• Extreme Exorcism – Ripstone
• forma.8 – Mixed Bag
• Freedom Planet – GalaxyTrail
• Lovely Planet – tinybuild and QUICKTEQUILA
• Mutant Mudds Super Challenge – Renegade Kid
• Typoman – Headup Games and Brainseed Factory

Full details on the games, including their release windows, can be found on the Wii U eShop.

This news joins Nintendo’s rerelease of Mother as Earthbound Beginnings for the Wii U Virtual console earlier this week.

During the Nintendo World Championships held yesterday, Nintendo also revealed details on Mario Maker’s now being dubbed as Super Mario Maker. Coincidentally, an image from Nintendo UK’s site has suggested that a new brand of Animal Crossing and 8-bit Mario Amiibo could be on their way.

We’ll fill you in on more details as they come in from this E3. Until then, stay tuned to BagoGames.
