The adventures of Shirayuki, her prince, and their friends will continue in anime form this January.
Snow White with the Red Hair anime, known as Akagami no Shirayukihime in Japan, is based on Sorata Akizuki’s manga of the same name. The story is about a talented herbalist named Shirayuki who posses the rarest red hair. She leaves her country for a kingdom that will offer her freedom and befriends the second prince. Shirayuki’s kindness and gentle ways begin to change the royal court one person at a time. Her fairy tale life is anything but perfect. From kidnappers to problems with politics, Shirayuki must overcome various trials to remain by Prince Zen’s side.
Snow White with the Red Hair anime will begin airing in Japan on January 17th, 2016. FUNimation currently holds the North American distribution license. You can watch the anime series through FUNimation.
