Square Enix has more games series laying around than it knows what to do with and it wants you to help them do something with them – if you’re an indie developer, that is.

The company’s announced that its year-old crowd funding platform, “Collective,” is now accepting pitches from far and wide for its past Eidos properties of Fear Effect, Anachronox, and Gex.

The program’s different phases – including feedback, funding, and development – will see any Sqaure Enix-approved game idea voted and commented on by the program’s online community.

Under this process, if the idea’s a go from the Square Enix higher-ups, the idea will enter Kickstarter-style crowd funding. Survive this and then it’s on to development. A completed idea will see 80 percent of net revenue from game sales according to Square Enix who will, in turn, distribute the game. In the case that subsequent ideas are original, the indie developers will earn ownership of their new IP.

Thus far, Black the Fall’s been the first indie game to get to the funding and the program’s seen a variety of ideas arrive at the approval stage. For now, we wait on whether the world’s ready for another Gex, much more another Fear Effect or Anachronox.
