The managing director at Curve Stuios, Jason Perkins, has revealed the reasons behind this decision in an interview with CVG.“There isn’t much competition on Nintendo’s store, so we thought that commercially it’s a really good opportunity for us,” he said, ”Nintendo has sold a few million Wii Us too, so the audience is there. We want to see what the market is like. We want to test it.”
The development of Stealth Inc. 2 won’t be the first time that Curve has worked with Nintendo. In 2010 they released their well reviewed puzzle game Fluidity exclusively for Wiiware. The sequel, Fluidity: Spin Cycle, came out exclusively for the 3DS eShop in 2012. Perkins described working with Nintendo as ”a really great experience”. ”These people know how to make games. They know about the time that’s needed. There’s a really old school pressure on delivery. It’s all about the game, it’s all about the build.” Stealth Inc. 2 will be released through the Wii U eShop later this year.
