Steam Fighting Game Sale

Steam released a new fighting game sale for this coming weekend. Many of the games in the genre are undergoing big discounts close to Black Friday. If you haven’t gotten any of these games, now would be a good time to do so.

Fighting games, at their core, pit one player against another to deplete their opponent’s health bar before theirs gets depleted. How you do it is game-to-game specific; beit hand-to-hand, with a sword, or even with spears, what’s available to you varies, but the objective remains the same.

New Deals and Prices

The Steam Fighting Game Sale runs from November 12th (today) until November 16th, at 12PM Pacific. Some of the deals include games like Street Fighter V going for $7.99 in the sale. The game’s Champion Edition Bundle is also on sale, at $19.99 (down from 29.99). The Champion Edition Bundle includes the game, the Champion Edition Upgrade (contains all costumes and characters released up until February 2020), and digital wallpapers.

Tekken 7 is another game that’s on sale, too. The base game itself is $9.99, and Tekken 7: Ultimate Edition (includes the game and the first two season Passes, including the first eight DLC characters and two stages) is $19.99 (down from $89.99). Season 3 ($24.99) is exempt from this sale, unfortunately, and Season 4 released earlier this week, so neither price has changed.

Mortal Kombat 11 is another game on sale. The base game goes for $19.99 standalone. Kombat Pack 1 is $9.99, down from $19.99, and the Aftermath expansion is $23.99, down from $39.99. MK11’s on the verge of a new expansion releasing next week, including fan favorites Mileena and Rain. Overall, the price drops for this sale are great for getting into the fighting game genre, with other games like Ultra Street Fighter IV (at $7.49), Dead or Alive 6 (at $17.99), and Killer Instinct (at $9.99).

As a personal recommendation, I would suggest buying Street Fighter V and Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. The primary reasoning for this is because both of these titles boast crossplay, and allow you to play the game with anyone on any of its supported platforms. Killer Instinct does this as well, but only in Exhibition and Lobby Modes; Ranked pools are separated.
