 </div><p>The Isle of Man is a British island in the Irish Sea that annually hosts the most dangerous motorsport event. The event has been around since 1907 and has already caused a lot of deaths. It is therefore no surprise that they have made a game and a sequel (TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2) of this annual event. The first part of TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge was positively received by racing game enthusiasts.</p>
<p>The game gave a good impression of the perilous road race. There was still room for improvement, but that is usually the task of a sequel. <a href="https://www.kylotonn.com/en/">Kylotonn</a> showed that in the sequel they wanted to work on remodeling the physics around the motorcycles, which is the most important and most profiling part of a racing game. Did they make this happen? Here is my TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 review for PlayStation 4.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">PHYSICS HURTS</h3>
<p>Something that did not change in TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 is the extreme difficulty. The driver I played with flew more often in the air than he was on his motorcycle. If you have no experience with motorsport yourself, it is quite a disaster and a half. I must admit that I do not really know the physical side, the displacement of weight and all that when it comes to riding motorcycles.</p>
<p>It always gave me a headache in high school and still does. I noticed in my TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 review for PlayStation 4 that this difficulty can fall in different ways depending on your experience. But don’t lose hope, even though it&#8217;s frustrating at first, you will get through that, and with enough practice, you will be a great driver. Think of it as a good challenge.</p>
<p>I understand from the bikers in my circle of friends that the realism in the game is not on par with real life motorcycling. Sometimes, when you immediately fly off your motorcycle in the game, in reality you could solve this without problems by responding well and hastily. Not that I will try it, because cycling down a mountain a little too fast is more that enough effort for me and my heart.</p>
<p>In addition, the way your driver flies through the air in the event of a mistake is not quite as it should be in real life. Would be funny, but good. I dare not say if Kylotonn did this on purpose, but I assume that if you are creating a realistic racing game, you really want it to be as realistic as possible.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">ESPECIALLY FOR THE MOTORCYCLE CRAZY</h3>
<p>The original Isle of Man TT race track, including the smallest details, has been laser-scanned for the game by the Kylotonn team. So you can experience a bit of what the participants in this life-threatening event are going through, although you can experience it safely from the couch. In the first game, players were already very satisfied with the track, but there was a lack of extra content to keep the game interesting for a longer period of time.</p>
<p>In that area, TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 improved a lot. The career mode has been further expanded, and they have introduced new race tracks, along with new classic motorcycles that you can use. This all makes the game by far less boring than its predecessor. Since the game is about a single race, we can not expect too much in terms of content diversity.</p>
<p>In contrast, Kylotonn could also charge a lower price for the game, which is more in line with the type of content they offer. I noticed in my TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 review for PlayStation 4 that there may be more to do now and more fun, but it is not comparable to other games in the same price category. This is unfortunate, because part of the improvements that Kylotonn made are therefore less effective.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">WHAT TO DO DURING A LOCKDOWN?</h3>
<p>The classic bikes added to the game are cool and definitely a nice perk, but I wouldn&#8217;t call it an improvement over the first game in the series. They recorded the sound used for the classic motorcycles during an event at Paul Ricard. That for connoisseurs is a very cool addition. Unfortunately, the game&#8217;s multiplayer mode is still very basic.</p>
<p>This mode is definitely fun, because you can race against each other, but there&#8217;s no reason to play this mode too often. Especially, because you really have to get used to the controls, making it impossible for new players to beat someone who already has loads of experience with the game. The free roam mode offers a perfect way to learn the controls of the engines without losing hope immediately. You can test the different motorcycles and find out which one suits you best.</p>
<p>However, this mode doesn&#8217;t stay interesting for long either. Once you have mastered the controls, free roam is of little use and no longer really adds anything. It feels more like an addition to the tutorial you get at the beginning of the game. Is your country in a lockdown due the COVID-19 virus? If so, this game mode could be a last resort against the immense boredom that we will all experience.</p>

<p>TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 looks beautiful and all the details of the official Isle of Man race track are present and legit. The sounds of the different engines are also authentic and recognizable to the experts.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the mistakes you make when playing the game are very limited in contrast than what they would be in a real race, so you will fly through the air faster than you should. The crashing doesn&#8217;t always look realistic either, which is also a miss that <a href="https://twitter.com/kylotonn_games?lang=en">Kylotonn</a> could have prevented.</p>
