Valorant Yoru Abilities And Skills Guide

Everything you need to know!

Yoru

The new Agent of Valorant, straight from Japan, finally makes his debut on the battlefield. Yoru plays with illusions to open glimpses of reality and stealth behind enemy lines. In the words of Riot Games, “using deception and aggression in equal measure, he gets the drop on each target before they know where to look”. This champion presents himself as a lethal assassin. Yoru can disorient the opponent and break through enemy lines unnoticed thanks to his skills. With a varied and versatile skill set, this Agent can be lethal on offense and just as effective in flanking with defending the point. Are you looking to jump in with Yoru? Here is my complete Valorant Yoru abilities and skills guide.

BLINDSIDE (Q)

By equipping this basic ability, Yoru rips an unstable dimensional fragment from reality that he can throw. Take note that this is basically like a grenade or a flashbang. When you launch the fragment, it will activate a flash that is triggered after bouncing off a surface.

The result is a blind similar to the many already present in the game. The only difference here is that it can bounce off the walls. This ability can be extremely useful in Valorant for attacking opponents by disabling their vision. This will also help with defending when you need to buy time or trying to protect Spike. This ability will cost you 200 creds and will last for only 1 second.

FAKEOUT (C)

The Fakeout skill is probably the newest and most distinctive of Yoru’s skill set. By equipping this basic ability, it is possible to make use of an echo that mimics the sound of footsteps upon activation. When clicking the left mouse button, it is possible to activate and send the echo forward and then deactivate it afterwards. Once launched, using the right mouse button (secondary focus) it is possible to put the echo in a specific place.

Finally, the skill that simulates the steps for the entire length of the cast is also deactivated. Take note that this skill is extremely versatile and is excellent in flanking phases. Fakeout also works perfectly to create effective diversions both in defense and in attack. This ability is definitely a very sneaky way to play the game. It will cost you 100 creds and will last for only 10 seconds.

GATECRASH (E)

By equipping this signature ability, Yoru harnesses a dimensional portal. This allows him to teleport to a certain point. With the left mouse button, it is possible to push the rift tether forward to the desired point. Subsequently, with the right button (alternate fire) it is possible to place the rift tether before being able to teleport to the point reached. The Gatecrash ability is useful in several ways.

It can be used to escape from dangerous situations, and it can be extremely useful to reposition yourself in a helpful situation. In other words, if you know this is a match that you are going to lose, then you can use this ability. Likewise, it can be used to teleport behind enemies to catch them off guard.

At the time of writing this article, there is a big bug with this ability. This bug allows Yoru to throw himself into the enemy base to take opponents from behind from the beginning of the match. Riot Games, however, are working to fix this issue ASAP! This ability is completely free and will last for 20 seconds.

DIMENSIONAL DRIFT (X)

Dimensional Drift is Yoru’s ultimate ability. By pressing the X key, you will equip a mask that allows you to see between the dimensions. By pressing the left mouse button, it is possible to slide into Yoru’s dimension. The result is that the Agent cannot be touched or seen by enemies outside.

The ability makes him invisible and intangible to enemies for several seconds after activation. As well as the teleportation ability, this too has different uses, mainly based on repositioning and the surprise effect. Take note that Yoru can walk past Sova and Cypher gadgets when using this skill. This ability will actually cost you 7 points and will last for only 9 seconds.

CONCLUSION

Yoru is a swift, elusive, and deadly Agent. As any good assassin, his primary goal is to hit opponents when they least expect it. He does this by making use of his skill set that is designed to be invisible. Thanks to his extreme mobility, Yoru can be a real tough nut to crack. By not losing sight of him, could be the key to effectively countering him.

Often distancing and analyzing his moves from afar is the right choice. However, the 1 v 1 confrontation at short distances can be very unfavorable for you. In maps as twisted and full of blind spots as Icebox, Yoru is at his best. He uses repositioning to break through the opponent’s defenses from within. Pay particular attention to his Fakeout skill, which being a novelty in the game can easily deceive the opposing players.
