DOOM Eternal Expansion Is Coming

<p>DOOM 2016 <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;106403-2&sol;">was a bit of a disappointmen<&sol;a>t in the DLC department&period; All we got for that game was multiplayer DLC&period; In a game where the multiplayer was the weakest aspect&period; I think it showed how Bethesda in a real tone-deaf manner overestimated the popularity of the multiplayer mode since it wasn&&num;8217&semi;t really fleshed out enough to be fun for players&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>DOOM Eternal <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;doom-eternal-will-have-anti-cheat-rootkit-removed&sol;">didn&&num;8217&semi;t fare much better<&sol;a> in the multiplayer department&period; In fact&comma; in Eternal&comma; the multiplayer feels like even more of an afterthought&period; There&&num;8217&semi;s so far only been one mode&comma; and while it&&num;8217&semi;s fun it&&num;8217&semi;s still only that&period; A singular multiplayer mode&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>So it seems Bethesda and id Software are doing the right thing this time around&period; DOOM Eternal&&num;8217&semi;s single-player campaign is already the stuff of legends&period; Like we stated in <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;doom-eternal-review-the-celebration-of-a-legacy&sol;">our review<&sol;a>&comma; the campaign might start out pretty hard&period; But once you get good at the game&comma; and most important unlock more upgrades&comma; the game becomes a lot of fun&period; It&&num;8217&semi;s honestly one of the best FPS campaigns in recent memory&comma; although not without some moments that are a bit hard to take seriously&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>DOOM Eternal is getting an actual campaign DLC this time&period; The DLC&comma; titled &&num;8220&semi;The Ancient Gods&comma; Part One&&num;8221&semi; was just <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;twitter&period;com&sol;DOOM&sol;status&sol;1291773914515935233" target&equals;"&lowbar;blank">teased yesterday&period;<&sol;a> According to id&comma; we&&num;8217&semi;ll see a full reveal at GamesCom 2020 on August 27&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><amp-youtube layout&equals;"responsive" width&equals;"500" height&equals;"281" data-videoid&equals;"M5XhV3YarKg" title&equals;"DOOM Eternal&colon; The Ancient Gods - Part One &lpar;Teaser&rpar;"><a placeholder href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;youtube&period;com&sol;watch&quest;v&equals;M5XhV3YarKg"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;i&period;ytimg&period;com&sol;vi&sol;M5XhV3YarKg&sol;hqdefault&period;jpg" layout&equals;"fill" object-fit&equals;"cover" alt&equals;"DOOM Eternal&colon; The Ancient Gods - Part One &lpar;Teaser&rpar;"><&sol;a><&sol;amp-youtube><&sol;p>&NewLine;<h3 style&equals;"text-align&colon; center">The Fight Continues<&sol;h3>&NewLine;<p>Judging from what we can see in the teaser&comma; it seems the DLC will take the Doomslayer into a new realm&period; And if the title is anything to go by&comma; it&&num;8217&semi;s the realm of the Ancient Gods&period; Is this the same realm as the one we see at the end of DOOM Eternal&quest; Will we see the return of Khan Maykr&quest; It certainly looks like we&&num;8217&semi;ll be fighting more of the same sentinel type enemies we saw in DOOM Eternal&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>So are you ready to rip and tear some more&quest; We certainly are and are looking forward to the full reveal on August 27&period; We were hoping for more DOOM story content&comma; and it seems Bethesda is willing to deliver on that&period; Let&&num;8217&semi;s just hope they don&&num;8217&semi;t <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;bagogames&period;com&sol;danger-doom-eternal-update-installs-rootkit&sol;">sneak in another rootkit<&sol;a> this time&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
