I’m pretty eager on sharing the game with others definitely. The entire Witcher series has been a package deal for me 🙂

Sounds good to me! Been reading all the books the last few weeks ^__^
Nice, i’m not much for reading… the game has it’s moments where story is told with text rather than voice overs or what have you. Makes me sad.
I have only really started to enjoy reading in the last 4 or so years. Not a huge fan of reading in game. It’s fairly easy reading in game on PC, but it is really hard on the eyes on console.
Yeah but still, I feel if the game is telling main portions of the story via notes in a game an RPG they are doing it wrong… just an annoyance to me is all.
Ah I see, I haven’t had a chance to play it and haven’t watched any videos as to avoid spoilers. Is it mainly backstory stuff or things that are currently happening?
I think a lot of it is backstory stuff… I won’t say anymore due to possible spoilers but yeah. Love the idea of the story just more of it needed to be explained in realtime gameplay over stop and read a book for a good 30mins lol
I replied to this comment a couple days ago. Looks like it was deleted, likely because of a link. The link was to a wikipedia list of what book or game characters were first introduced. If you search on Google for “List of characters in the Witcher saga” it should be the first link. Might be a little helpful to those that haven’t read every book or played every game.
Hopefully most of that backstory is what was covered in the books. One bad thing about reading the books is I have no idea how some of the names should be pronounced and forget about Elder Speech.
Haha yeah that has helped me remember people from the first game and what not… although I have no idea what elder speech is O.O
It’s an old language in the saga mainly spoken by Elves, Dryad, Mages and so on. Some examples vatt’ghern means witcher, scoia’tael means squirrels, Geralt(white wolf) is Gwynbleidd. Mainly reminds me of the Celtic language with a bit of Old Norse. Also the signs aard, axii, igni, quen, and yrden are elder speech.
Yes, I did have to search for the spelling of all those words. haha
See they don’t go into that… Iorveth calls Gerelt Gwynbleidd all the time and I was like the hell are you saying that for lol
That’s a shame, I guess since the story is so popular over there they are just assuming people already know it. There was even a show called “Wiedzmin”. Heck, some of the books wont even be officially released in English until 2016- 2017(The Swallow’s Tower 2016 and Lady of the Lake 2017) Luckily they have all already been fan translated.
Yeah maybe
