InXile Entertainment, the developer behind Wasteland 2, has announced that the game will be available from September 19th. The original Wasteland was a post apocalyptic RPG that released for the PC all the way back in 1988. It was incredibly well received and its legacy lives on in the success of the Fallout franchise, which is seen as a spiritual successor to Wasteland.
Brain Fargo, director of the original game, has returned for this long awaited sequel as have many other developers from the first Wasteland. The game was primarily funded through Kickstarter where it raised $2.9 million. An Early Access version was released in December last year.
Wasteland 2 will be available on PC, Mac and Linux when it launches next month.
