The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has received patch 1.20 on all platforms. CD Projekt RED has released all the details on the latest update.
Some notable improvements in the expansion include:
- An easier way to keep track of collected Gwent cards, so that players know the exact number of Gwent cards they are missing
- An on-the-fly option to allow for enemy upscaling, so that Geralt is never too powerful for his foes
- The ability to immediately read books and scrolls after they are picked up with the press of a button, so that you can get your fill of Witcher lore without scrolling through menus.
- A new feature adds three custom pins to mark areas on the map to explore in the future.
As for the visual fixes, today’s patch remedies an insult to beard lovers whereby the PC version of the game didn’t differentiate the appearance of a 3-day beard from a fully grown beard. Luckily, the PS4 version didn’t suffer the same issue, but it did muddy the puddle water in the fantasy realm with textures that didn’t fade properly – this issue is now fixed as well.
The robust update has a bevy of fixes, including ones reserved for the Hearts of Stone expansion.
Patch 1.20 has been released just in time for the Blood and Wine expansion releasing tomorrow. For more on The Witcher 3, the immense fantasy open-world game, keep the hunt going on BagoGames.
