Remember Peter Pan? Odds are you’ll recall Disney’s version of the red-haired, gravity-defying child in tights fighting pirates and amusing mermaids. Now, Fox is throwing its hat in the ring to tell a tale with a bit more murder in the magic.
Deadline reports that Fox’s latest series, The League of Pan, will tell us that our little boy in green and his friends, The Lost Boys, left Neverland and moved to Los Angeles. Growing up and going their separate ways, their thrust back into each other’s company when someone (or something) begins targeting them for murder one by one.
The series comes to us from Andrew Miller (The CW’s The Secret Circle) who will serve as executive producer along with Imagine Television’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo. The series follows Brian McCauley’s attempt at a Pan TV show two years prior and will start from scratch.
The J.M. Barry character’s endured a hundred years of theatrical, literary, and musical iterations, notably including Once Upon a Time‘s take on the character as well as NBC’s Peter Pan Live! musical that sees Christopher Walken donning the boots of Captain Hook.
