Word of aother Gears of War has been floating around the internet a lot lately. There was even talk late last month of the original Gears of War being remastered for Xbox One by Brink and Dirty Bomb developer Splash Damage, as reported by Polygon and an update from Kotaku. In addition, there were claims circulating that a brand new Gears game being made specifically for Xbox One according to Black Tusk Studios‘s Jack Felling.
@Clayton_117 No sorry, it won't be available on the 360 but it will be available for the Xbox One!

In the time since, the “Brazilian Advisory Rating Board” has also posted a listing for a Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Whether the word “Ultimate” means a remaster and not a remake of all three or the original Gears games and Judgment remains to be seen. That said, the listing doesn’t say specifically what would be included.
For the uninitiated, a remaster alters the audio quality, sometimes reworks the voice-acting and, in some cases, not all the textures are slightly altered while running at either 720p or 1080p resolution at an expected 60 frames per second (or FPS). Remakes generally imply that a game was reworked to the point were it could be classified as a brand new game or a newer/updated version of the previous accounting for everything mentioned with more work made on updating or changing the texture quality altogether.
Despite recent leaks on the subject we still don’t know what this “Gears of War Ultimate Edition” will entail. Would you buy a remastered Gears? Let us know in the comments below.
