Activision, the long-time video game company behind Skylanders and Call of Duty, seems to be starting up their own movie division. According to Engadget, CEO Bobby Kotick is looking into assembling a team that will develop their plethora of licensed video games into films and/or television projects. This comes after more reports of Ubi Soft continuing to develop their Assassin’s Creed and Splinter Cell properties into theatrical films. Given how Activision has a much heftier library of titles that includes Pitfall and Guitar Hero among others, it’s natural that they’d want to throw their hat into the ring as well. Note that this does not include anything related to Warcraft as that series is already being developed into its own film by Legendary.
